Instalacje przeciwoblodzeniowe pod chodniki i podjazdy
Instalacje przeciwoblodzeniowe montowane są w gruncie. Można używać ich pod wszelkiego rodzaju nawierzchnie utwardzone: asfalt, beton, kostkę brukową, gres czy terakotę.
System składa się z kabli lub mat grzejnych (stałooporowych lub samoregulujących) zasilanych prądem, regulatorów (termostatów), zewnętrznych czujników temperatury i wilgotności. Jeśli system jest w pełni zautomatyzowany, to jego wydajność jest dostosowywana do warunków atmosferycznych. Ogrzewanie rozpoczyna pracę tylko we właściwych momentach, np. gdy temperatura spadanie poniżej danej wartości, a poziom wilgoci wzrośnie powyżej zadanych parametrów. Oznacza to, że nawet w przypadku wystąpienia temperatury ujemnej i braku opadów śniegu instalacja, która ma odpowiednio dobrane sterowanie, nie uruchomi się. Prawidłowo skonfigurowany system oznacza oszczędność i niższe koszty eksploatacji.
Sposób ułożenia instalacji zależy od miejsca ich lokalizacji. Pod chodnikami układa się ją z reguły pod powierzchnią czynną, po której poruszają się ludzie. Na podjazdach instalacja może być ułożona na całej powierzchni lub tylko w miejscach, które stykają się z oponami samochodów (na pasach jezdnych). Pierwsze rozwiązanie zalecane jest dla krótkich podjazdów, gdzie możliwe jest ręczne odśnieżanie i usuwanie lodu ze środkowej części pasa. Dla dłuższych podjazdów o większym nachyleniu powinno się zamontować system na całej powierzchni. Trzeba też w tym przypadku ułożyć kabel grzewczy w kanale odpływowym, który musi być chroniony przed zamarzaniem.
Zabezpieczenie przeciwoblodzeniowe schodów
Na schodach, kable grzejne należy układać równolegle do dłuższej krawędzi stopni. Aby zapewnić równomierne ogrzewanie całej powierzchni stopni, kable układa się jak najbliżej krawędzi stopni. Należy pamiętać o prawidłowym obliczeniu długości kabla grzejnego, którego odcinki przebiegają również po powierzchni podstopni. Lepiej w tej sytuacji przewymiarować, ponieważ nadmiar kabla może posłużyć do ogrzania powierzchni przed schodami (np. wycieraczki).
Dla schodów i tarasów niezabudowanych może zaistnieć konieczność ułożenia od dołu termoizolacji. Pozwoli to zminimalizować wpływ zimnego powietrza na konstrukcję, czyli ograniczyć straty ciepła. W schodach zabudowanych nie ma konieczności stosowania termoizolacji.
Zalety gruntowych systemów przeciwoblodzeniowych
Podsumowując, systemy przeciwoblodzeniowe gwarantują:
- niższy koszt utrzymania chronionych powierzchni (brak strat wynikających z uszkodzeń zimowych),
- brak zagrożenia dla środowiska naturalnego,
- komfort użytkowania (eliminacja konieczności ręcznego odśnieżania),
- bezpieczeństwo użytkowania,
- wyeliminowanie roszczeń finansowych wynikających z powstałych wypadków (np. na pokrytym lodem chodniku).
Alternatywa dla kabli i mat grzejnych
Innym rozwiązaniem instalacji przeciwoblodzeniowych (zdecydowanie rzadziej stosowanym) są systemy grzewcze, w których źródłem ciepła jest roztwór wodny glikolu. System rur wielowarstwowych jest wówczas połączony z lokalnym źródłem (kotłem, pompą ciepła, itp.).
